Billing

Plans and billing

What plans limit, how to upgrade, downgrade or cancel, and what happens when a payment fails or you go over a limit.

What a plan includes

Every account starts on the Free plan, no card needed. Paid plans raise four limits:

  • Comments: how many comments your widgets can store.
  • Media storage: space for images attached to comments.
  • Widgets: how many widgets you can create.
  • Moderators per widget: how many people can moderate each widget.

There are no page view limits on any plan, and no ads on your site. Current plans and prices are on the pricing page. Yearly billing costs less than paying monthly.

The plan belongs to the account that owns the widgets. Admins and moderators you invite do not need a plan of their own.

The Subscription page

Site Console → Subscription shows:

  • your current plan, its status and price;
  • your usage of comments, media storage and widgets, with the moderators allowed per widget;
  • the available plans, monthly or yearly;
  • answers to common billing questions.

The plan status also appears as a badge next to Subscription in the sidebar.

Subscribe or upgrade

  1. Open Subscription and choose monthly or yearly billing.
  2. Pick a plan. You are taken to our payment provider's secure checkout.
  3. After paying you come back to the Site Console.

While the payment is being confirmed, the page shows Checkout in progress and no other checkout can be started. It updates by itself once the payment goes through.

Upgrades take effect immediately, and the payment provider settles the difference for the rest of the period. Taxes that apply in your country are added at checkout.

Manage your subscription

Manage subscription opens the customer portal, where you can change plans, update your payment method and billing details, see invoices, and cancel.

Downgrading

If a downgrade is scheduled for the end of your billing period, the Subscription page shows Downgrade scheduled with the date, and your current plan stays in full until then. If your usage is above the new plan's limits when it takes effect, your widgets stop accepting new data, such as new comments, until you reduce your usage or upgrade again.

Cancelling

  • Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period. The page shows Cancellation scheduled with the date.
  • You can undo the cancellation until then.
  • After the period ends, your comments, images and settings are kept read-only for 2 months. The widgets still show on your site, but nothing new is accepted.
  • If you do not subscribe again within those 2 months, your data is permanently deleted.

Limits and warnings

You get a warning when any usage reaches 80% of its limit. At 100% the Subscription page shows Usage limit exceeded, and no new content can be added until you upgrade or free up space.

When a payment fails

The payment provider retries a failed renewal over the next days and emails you about it. If every retry fails, a grace period starts: your subscription stays active, and the page shows Payment overdue — grace period active with the deadline. Update your payment method in the portal before it ends; otherwise the subscription is cancelled.
